I have been reading a lot and listing to many videos around the Coronavirus and there is so much information, it can be overwhelming.  At the request of a few of my clients, I have consolidated my key learnings to share with my followers.  This is my plan or strategy, each of you will need to create what works for you as everyone is different.

You may not agree with me on all the points made and that is fine.  I do not know everything.  I am just like you trying to figure out the best strategy to follow during these tumultuous times. This blog represents my current belief system and understanding and this blog is to help those who would like more help.  I do know things change each day and my opinion could change too.

Psychological:

  1. Your Thoughts and Words become Things: I focus on what I do want and not what I don’t want.   I am saying: “I am grateful that I will remain healthy and strong throughout this pandemic.”
  2. Eliminate Fear: You first must realize that fear is causing your emotional reactions. Get clear on what you are fearful of.  Your goal is to eliminate the fear.  Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) also called tapping is an effective tool for eliminating fear.  I have recorded a tapping for the virus that you can listen to here.  If you are still having a lot of fear, schedule a session with me to help you.

Hygienic:

  1. Wash Hands: This is the number one thing you can do. And you must wash thoroughly, at least 20 seconds. I wash mine constantly and do not touch food or other items without washing.
  2. Avoid touching your hands, nose, and mouth at all times. That is the quickest way to get sick if you have picked up any germs.
  3. Sanitize your Home and Everything You Touch: I use dōTERRA Onguard products which have proven to be one of the most powerful germ eliminators that I have found. Here is a visual of the results of a science project done by a 12-year boy showing the power of Onguard. He took bacteria from his chicken coop and put in Lysol, Clorox, a control substance and Onguard.  Onguard is on the upper left and the results are obvious.    dōTERRA is sold out of most their products but I can make a bottle of sanitizer at cost for anyone local who would like one and can pick it up.   This would be a great item to carry with you to stores to wipe down the cart handles and use them on your hands as you pick up products.  You will still want to wash after shopping.
  4. Sickness: If you have a fever, cold, cough, chest congestion or a sore throat, stay home until it is gone. Throw your tissues away after use if you cough or sneeze into it, do not re-use. If you are out and someone is coughing or sneezing, stay at least 3 feet away from them.
  5. Self-Care: I am taking a variety of supplements for boosting my immune system including elderberry capsules which is a known herbal supplement for immune support. I am also taking Onguard soft gels.   Do what feels right to you but keep your immune system boosted.  I am also eating healthy ensuring I am getting the right fruits and vegetables as well as getting good sleep.   They say heat kills the virus so I am taking more hot tubs and spending time in the sun.

A Few Facts!

  1. Carrier: You can be a carrier of the virus spreading unknowingly and unintentionally to others because you have no symptoms. An individual who never got sick and didn’t have symptoms was a carrier that started the spread in Italy and several other countries.
  2. Long Term Impact: Catching the virus (even if you are not in the vulnerable class and don’t die) could have long-lasting impacts from the scar tissue that can build in your lungs according to doctors that are in the middle of the pandemic.

Physical Restrictions:

  1. Flattening the Curve! Great article that explains the logic of not hanging out in large crowds.
  2. Stay home! It is the only real way to stop the spread. According to doctors in the heat of the battle, it is basic epidemiology 101.   It has been proven in every country that quarantines are slowing the spread.  The only solution  Even though this isn’t desirable, it is temporary, and life will go on.  Look at all the large concerts, sporting events, etc. that have permanently canceled or delayed.  There is a reason for that. What does stay at home look like?
  3. Work at home if you are able. Anyone who works fulltime on computers or evens phones, should be able to work from almost anywhere.
  4. Stop going to any large events or gatherings. Anything larger than 20 people should be avoided. Cancel any unnecessary meetings or gatherings.
  5. Don’t travel if not necessary.
  6. When to go out:
  7. If you work in the medical field and need to be there to help save lives.
  8. To shop for food so you can survive.
  9. Family emergencies.
  10. Get outside into the Sunshine. Just sit in the sun or get out and walk more in the great outdoors in non-congested areas and soak in the sunshine. Word on the street is that sunshine and heat (over 80 degrees) kills the virus.   I am also hot-tubbing daily!
  11. Personal Responsibility: I believe that every single person has to take personal responsibility to reduce this threat to others across the US and the World. You will be able to have fun again once the pandemic has quieted.
  12. Have fun at home! Spend your time getting those home and yard projects done that you have been wanting to do. Enjoy this time with your family. Take up new hobbies.  Stay connected with friends or family by phone or the internet. Social connection is important during these troubling times.
  13. Stay Safe!
