"She pulled me in by her experiences and her stories, I felt like they were very relatable and very real. She was able to really connect with everyone.
I thought that it was really eye opening. Both in the way that I realize I am doing some things right like exercising. I also saw there were things I should be doing like having a conscientious understanding about what my ego is and how its holding me back. I feel like the breakthrough moment was in the little exercises we did. Each one built upon itself. Even the breathing exercise to the moment we are doing the leaning exercise. You can see the things you are retreating away from or leaning towards. She pulled me in by her experiences and her stories, I felt like they were very relatable and very real. Personal health is related to stress and we all experience it in some way or another. We sometimes lie to ourselves. Then we do the exercises and tune into what that does feel like instead of what I was trying to make it feel like. It helped me understand what my intuition is. I used to think I am this way or that way but having it written down in front of me concretely, I can fess up to it. These are the things I don’t just think I have biases about but the things I know I have biases about. One of her quotes was the definition of insanity, doing the same thing and expecting different results was so true. The experience she brought and the relatability. Sitting in a woman’s conference, we all have different stories and experiences but she was really able to connect with everyone whether it be a personal story, an exercise or statistic. She summed up everything that could connect with everyone at a woman’s conference, for sure.
She was able to really connect with everyone. Whether it be through a personal story or an exercise or a statistic. Getting that self-awareness was kind of the whole breakthrough throughout the process."
